One Patient’s Journey
“As a 48 year old male who was diagnosed with high blood pressure and high cholesterol 2 years ago, I decided that it was time to get back in "shape". The problem that I was having though was that it was no longer as easy as it was 20 years ago. No matter how little I ate, or what I did, I simply couldn't lose any weight. In addition to this, my energy level was at an all-time low and when I got home from work each day, all I felt like doing was simply sitting on the couch. As a father of 3 active kids, I wanted nothing more than to do things with them, but, I simply didn't have the energy. At first, I thought these were all symptoms of the 3 medications I was on, and that maybe this was just the new normal for a man of my age. I started to battle depression, until one day I was talking to a co-worker about what all I was going through. This co-worker, who was a patient of Daniel's, told me about what Daniel had done for him through hormone adjustment therapy. I reluctantly scheduled an appointment with Daniel, thinking there was no way that what my friend had told me could possibly work for me. From my first consultation with Daniel, he was sincere in his concern for my health, and confident that he could help with the many physical and mental issues I was battling daily. After my consultation, and some lab work, Daniel had me feeling like I was in my 20's again! I continue to be a champion for what he has done for me, and the quality of life that he has allowed me. I am no longer on cholesterol medicine, am working hard to get off of my blood pressure medications, and simply can't thank him enough for the quality of life that I now enjoy. Thank you Daniel!!!”
This is a real story of a real patient. He isn’t alone either. I have seen many patients with this same story. That’s where I want to come in and help. Low testosterone is a hormone deficiency state that is effecting men like him more and more. Just in the last 30 years we have seen the male population as a whole lose over 20% in the average testosterone level (Travison et al., 2007). This is a conservative number at that. There are some scientific estimates that male testosterone levels are 50-75% lower on average then our male counterparts of 100 years ago. This is a crisis!
Testosterone is a hormone that defines a man. Testosterone for men is our energy, motivation, drive, libido, focus, endurance, recovery from exercise, and our ability to get a good night’s sleep. Testosterone when guided by a competent and motivated medical provider can be a very safe and effective treatment. Just like in this man’s story, real and tangible improvements can be made in your overall quality of life.
